The repair process
Five steps, one approval gate. Nothing is replaced without your say-so, and nothing leaves without being run.
Strip and inspect
The spindle is disassembled and every component is evaluated individually: bearings, shaft, housing, drawbar, seals, encoder and motor windings.
Written quote
You get a written quote with the findings and the parts needed. Work never begins until you approve it.
OEM parts, not re-machined ones
Worn components are replaced with authorised OEM parts rather than machined back to size. Bearings are angular-contact spindle bearings in matched duplex sets, ABEC 7 to ABEC 9, from SKF and German and Italian makers only.
Clean-room reassembly
Reassembly, bearing break-in and dynamic balancing happen in a clean environment, because a few microns of grit is what kills a fresh bearing.
Test, then ship
Every spindle is run and tested before it goes back to you, and the repair carries the same full six-month warranty.
Why the details matter
Don't fix what isn't broken. We do not keep an expensive machine shop busy by re-machining parts that should simply be replaced. Authorised OEM parts go back in, from a stock of precision bearings and parts held for the major spindle brands.
Balancing. A spindle that runs at 18,000 or 24,000 rpm magnifies any imbalance into heat and bearing load. Every rebuilt rotor is dynamically balanced after the bearings are fitted, not before.
Break-in. New spindle bearings are run in under controlled conditions before the spindle is tested at speed, so the grease distributes and the temperature settles the way the bearing maker intends.
